After the first contact (either on phone or e-mail)it is hard to decide, or you shoud not decide who is the appropiate for you. It is one step closer when a fried of yours proposed the film makers, but there is still a lot of information missing, so dont decide to early.

Start with the references the film makers have. Try to watch for the quality, the unique stye, the pictures, the mood that the film have. Do we feel the pictures self confident or are they only „caught by accident”? Arent the effects too many? When there are too many digital (or non-digital)effects in the movie, it can cause the opposite (bad) impression. The most important key is good editing. When watching a movie you feel like you are „in the film” and part of the events not just a viewer, than the movie is suppose do be well done.
